Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision

  • Oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of maintenance staff.
  • Manage the department’s budget and procurement of parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Plan, assign, and monitor daily maintenance operations to ensure timely completion of work orders and proper coverage.
  • Direct and participate in general maintenance tasks, including wall repairs, lock replacements, lighting, painting, and equipment installation.
  • Maintain the facility’s interior and exterior, including landscaping and grounds care.

Training & Development

  • Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies.
  • Lead staff training, in-services, and quality control initiatives.
  • Conduct regular building tours to evaluate work quality and compliance.

Quality Assurance & Safety

  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.
  • Complete and document all required tests and inspections for regulatory compliance.
  • Enforce infection control practices and ensure proper use of PPE and tools.

Financial & Administrative Management

  • Create and manage the maintenance department budget for cost-effective operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of department expenses, personnel, and supplies.
  • Oversee the procurement and inventory of materials and equipment.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Serve as the liaison between residents, staff, and building administration.
  • Communicate operational updates and project timelines to all stakeholders.

Customer & Resident Experience

  • Ensure professional, courteous, and timely service to residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Promote a positive and respectful environment throughout the facility.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and life safety code regulations.
  • Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
  • Must reside within the service area.
