Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Information Technology to lead our IT operations and manage key technology projects. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure and systems, while also driving the successful implementation of new initiatives.

The Manager of Information Technology will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our IT environment, overseeing a small team, providing technical support, and acting as the primary project manager for various IT-related projects. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strong understanding of project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

IT Operations & Support:

  • Oversee the daily operations of our IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, workstations, cloud services, and telecommunications.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems and data through regular monitoring, patching, and adherence to security best practices.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with company policies.
  • Administer and maintain enterprise applications and software systems.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize efficiency and ensure compliance.
  • Manage IT asset inventory and procurement, ensuring effective resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with vendors for IT services, hardware, and software, managing relationships and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of IT projects from initiation to closure, including infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and software deployments.
  • Define project scopes, objectives, deliverables, and resource requirements.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and managing variances.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential issues.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure project success.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and create documentation for all projects.
  • Communicate project status, issues, and successes to stakeholders and senior management.

Skills :

  • Strong proficiency in T-SQL for querying, scripting, and automation.(Required)
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with multiple versions of Microsoft SQL Server (e.g., SQL Server 2016, 2017, 2019, 2022).
  • Experience with specific technologies relevant to your organization (e.g., cloud platforms like Azure/GCP, CRM systems, ERP systems).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to a small team of IT support specialists or technicians.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support professional development for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and customer-focused environment within the IT department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in information technology, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven experience in managing IT operations and providing technical support.
  • Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and deliver IT projects on time and within budget. Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components (e.g., networking, Windows Server, virtualization, cloud platforms like AWS/Azure).
  • Experience with cybersecurity best practices and data backup/recovery solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, PMP, ITIL) are a strong plus.
